Bochuan Zheng
Executive Director
Bochuan Zheng is currently pursuing a Master of Design (MDes) in Ecologies at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, where his work integrates architectural innovation, land management, and climate resilience in arid regions. With a strong foundation in ecological restoration, Bochuan's family has collaborated with the Chinese government to plant nearly 5,000 acres of Haloxylon trees in Qinghai, China, combating desertification and revitalizing the local economy through the cultivation of parasitic medicinal plants.
His work emphasizes the intersection of architecture, sustainable land management, and community resilience, exploring how these fields can combine to address global climate challenges. By focusing on land tenure and adaptive design strategies, Bochuan is committed to creating sustainable solutions that empower communities to manage their land in ways that both protect the environment and support long-term economic growth.
Yuanyuan Cao
Program Manager / Coordinator
Yuanyuan Cao is pursuing Master of Architecture from Princeton University and had a Bachelor of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. Yuanyuan brings a wide-range of experience from the architecture discipline, where she has worked on diverse projects ranging from residential developments to multi-purpose cultural complexes.
Her design philosophy centers on creating innovative solutions that resonate with cultural, urban, and historical contexts, emphasizing the human experience and thoughtful engagement with space. Committed to sustainability and interdisciplinary collaboration, Yuanyuan aims to transform the living environment through meaningful design that fosters connection and enriches communities.
Angelina Zhang
Marketing / Communications Manager
Angelina Yihan Zhang is a Master of Design Studies student at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, specializing in sustainability and climate resilience. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University and is a licensed LEED Green Associate. Her work focuses on modular systems for survival in extreme environments, from climate-resilient buildings to space habitats.
Angelina co-founded ResilienSEED and was a Harvard CSFP fellow working in nonprofits like the Aurelia Institute. Angelina is a member of the Harvard Council of Student Sustainability Leaders and was recognized as one of North America’s Metropolis Future 100. Her projects have been showcased at the Shenzhen Bi-city Biennale of Low Carbon Architecture and awarded in competitions like Buildner, Non-Architecture, and LandArtGenerator.
